Who lives here

Mar 16, 2022

The hens are settling in nicely and we found a very appropriate door knocker for their house.

They are getting quite tame and enjoy a little treat snack in the afternoon.

After a few days of foraging for firewood for the hot tub we pruned the trees near the house a bit. The hens have now got an outdoor roost and we have wood for a number of hot tub dips.

I have just been sitting outside and watch the antics of the pukekos. They are the meanest birds. They saw of a young magpie and stole whatever she was eating. Then they screeched at a pair of spur wing plovers who were nesting. They chased a tui up into the big totara and were about to come into my garden. I chased them off and they made such a racket both the cats ran away.
