Our three big kauri trees for which we named the property are doing well in spite of being out in the open. They are probably the grandmothers, mothers and aunties of the grove on the way to the creek.
In the early evening Brocky caught his first rabbit! He was so excited he didn’t know what to do with it. He did manage to kill it. I was so excited I didn’t get a photo until too late and gruesome. Clary was quite interested but she would rather chase than catch.
We have been gifted three sturdy looking kittle Inga Edulis, ice-cream bean trees. Apparently they have a delicious pulp like candy floss and start producing beans after about three years. We will plant them in the sub tropical orchard.

My little eggplant seedling is just about ready to plant out. It will need somewhere sheltered which is the biggest challenge.
