Yesterday was a bad day. I discovered that a mouse had ravaged my lady finger bananas, I got stung multiple times by a wasp that got stuck up my trouser leg while I was weeding. And, I burned myself on the toastie maker when I was making delicious cheese and tamarillo relish toasties for lunch.

As if this wasn’t enough there was a sudden brief downpour that interrupted every garden activity. I had more coffees than usual.

During one sunny spell I found a number of revolting large caterpillars that are responsible for chomping through my garden.

Unidentified pest

On the plus side all the plants in waiting now have homes and we have happy llamas.
