New babies over the fence

Nov 1, 2021

The big dappled black and white cows next door are producing a calf a day, super cute. I think that must have been why the llamas were making alert calls this morning and hanging round for longer that usual.

We found a tiny puffball on the bank, so I’m hoping it will grow into and edible size and some others might pop up. I mistook it for an egg at first.

I planted out cavelo nero and brociflower today, just have to hope the white cabbage caterpillars don’t gobble them up. A few violets flowering, not quite enough for salad yet.
