A huge day as we took Neptune to his new home. It didn’t start well as the llamas didn’t do their usual home visit this morning. They were across the valley over the hill, probably because of all yesterday’s dramas with the new cria. When we found them we were delighted to see Nova with her baby feeding.

We then had to cajole all the llamas over to the house, up the drive to the corral without them eating the garden and the orchard. No photos for obvious reasons. We managed to get them there and to get a halter on Neptune.
He was not happy and jumped over the gate. All the llamas took off careering down the drive and had great fun marauding the garden while our priority was getting Neptune into the van. He is extremely heavy.
We then drove the other llamas back into the paddock after some serious pruning and trampling had taken place.
He did settle down once safely stowed in the van and was very good for the whole trip. So were the dogs

What a relief when we finally got there. Neptune fell out if the van, picked himself up and wandered off to meet his new paddock mates. The girls looked very interested.
