Learning to crow

Mar 23, 2022

Our beautiful rooster is learning to crow. He sounds a bit pathetic, maybe it’s a bit like when a boys voice breaks, uneven, as if he doesn’t know what is coming out next.

The first time was yesterday morning at about 7.30. Clary barked and we couldn’t think what the sound was. This morning he had another go with minimal improvement. I like the way he starts so late.

What’s all the fuss about

We have had an extraordinary amount of rain. The garden is nicely saturated and the tanks are overflowing.

Rain clouds approaching

And we have had a deluge of rainbows!
