A new born cria

Nov 22, 2021

It was a beautiful still and balmy afternoon. Perfect weather to finish shearing Morning Glory who had only had half a haircut as she got so distressed and jumpy. when everyone else was getting shorn.

Hand shearing Morning Glory

What we didn’t expect was to find a tiny cria! No wonder Clover ran away. The little one must have been born this morning. We didn’t have a morning visit and I had gone to to Tikipunga Market to buy plants so didn’t go looking for them. She is feeding well and looking good although most probably a bit premature as her ears are still floppy.

We have called her Carmen. She is really pretty!

There was wonderful rain in the night. A couple of hours gave the ground a good soak. Ideal timing after the earthworks yesterday creating a new path and putting soul down where the container was.
