Market bargains

Apr 10, 2022

Delicious little local bananas and a banana flower came home from Onerahi market. We love the bananas cooked and in tropical fruit salad with coconut yogurt.

I’m not quite sure how to tackle the banana flower. Apparently you can eat both the stamens and the heart in salad with dressing and it tastes like artichoke. We will see.

The naughty llamas, Emma and Diane of course, managed to knock over the pellet jar and help themselves.

They are all very curious about the hens and spend a lot of time watching them. The hens don’t seem to mind.

We now have splendid new outdoor seating area. Perfect place to relax whatever height you are, all sizes catered for as the ground slopes.
