Potential swimming hole

Oct 17, 2021

We walked, scrambled would be a better description, down to the creek this morning and managed to get a good walk in before the rain came through.

It is such a magical place.

I almost had a nasty fall backwards into the water when a punga I was gripping gave way. Fortunately there was a solid fallen tree which saved me from the rocks. It was a slippery, slimy slope back up but so worth it.

There are a number of perfect picnic spots and it looks as if the water will stay deep enough for summer dips.

Amazingly tall pungas
Flower from Rewarewa
Llamas thought we might have treats

Clary had to have a shower when we got home. She had rolled in something indescribably smelly and disgusting. Fortunately she is very good now and knows to sit down to be washed.

Clean damp dog, smells good again
