Star Spangled Banner comes home

Aug 31, 2022

Star Spangled Banner, magnificent suri stud, came home yesterday. Spangles has been on holiday up the road at The George with Kudos and Simon after he was being a nuisance trying to mate birthing llamas.

We are ready for another mating now Neptune has gone to Dairy Flat and Jupiter isn’t old enough. We had planned to put Spangles in the corral with some of the girls, especially Lily.

The weather was so awful in the morning that the llamas had all moved away from the house by the time he cane over so we decided ro let him go for it see what happens.

The whole herd was so excited to see him it was all a bit mad. Even the dogs and Hagrid joined in. And he chose Lily!

Spangles got so much help, including from Mr. Brock, they all roared up the hill and we thought that was it for Lily. But he approached her again and she was still keen so he had another go.

Later that evening the herd all rushed up to the house. They left Spangles on the hill. Maybe Lily needed a break.

We were woken in the middle of the night by llamas gallumphing around on the deck for no reason.

This morning they are quietly grazing. Who will be next?
